Duonox ("Duonox," "we," "us," or "our") is a creative agency providing brand identity, editorial and print, web development, digital product, and art direction services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit duonoxx.com (the "Site"), get in touch about a project, or otherwise interact with us. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

01

Information we collect

We collect information in a few different ways, depending on how you interact with us:

Information you provide directly

  • Contact details you share through our inquiry form, email, or scheduling tools — such as your name, email address, company, and project details.
  • Files, briefs, or reference material you send us in the course of scoping or delivering a project.
  • Any correspondence you have with us, including calls, messages, and meeting notes.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data such as pages visited, time on page, referring URLs, device type, browser, and approximate location, gathered through standard web server logs and analytics tools.
  • Cookies and similar technologies, described in more detail in Section 3.
02

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to inquiries and scope potential projects.
  • Deliver, manage, and communicate about client engagements.
  • Maintain and improve the Site, including diagnosing technical issues.
  • Understand how visitors use the Site so we can make it clearer and more useful.
  • Meet legal, accounting, and contractual obligations.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not sell personal information.

03

Cookies & tracking technologies

The Site uses a limited set of cookies and comparable technologies. When you first visit, a consent banner asks which categories you allow. Non-essential cookies are not set unless you opt in — if you reject them, or simply ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are placed.

  • Strictly necessary cookies — required for the Site to function: page navigation, security, and remembering your cookie choice itself. These do not track you and cannot be switched off. Our consent cookie (dx-cookie-consent) stores only your preference and expires after six months, after which we will ask again.
  • Analytics cookies — optional, and off by default. If you allow them, they record anonymous, aggregate statistics: pages visited, time on page, referring URL, approximate location, and device or browser type. We use this only to understand what is working and improve the Site.

We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, we do not sell your data, and we do not share it with data brokers or use it to build advertising profiles.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie icon in the bottom-left corner of any page. Withdrawing consent takes effect immediately, and any analytics cookies previously set are cleared. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings, though disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect how parts of the Site function.

04

How we share information

We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers who help us run the studio — for example, hosting, email delivery, scheduling, and analytics providers — under obligations to protect your data and use it only for the purpose we've engaged them for.
  • Collaborators such as freelance specialists or production partners brought onto a specific project, limited to what's needed to do that work.
  • Legal or safety reasons, if required to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, or prevent harm.
  • Business transfers, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

We do not share personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

05

Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy — for example, for the length of an active engagement plus a reasonable period afterward for accounting and legal purposes, or until you ask us to delete it. Inquiry details from prospective projects that don't move forward are generally retained for a limited period and then deleted.

06

Data security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

07

Your rights & choices

Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12 — we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.

If you're in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you're a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we hold and to request deletion; we do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

08

International transfers

We work with clients and partners in different countries, which means information may be processed outside your home country, including in jurisdictions with different data protection laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect information transferred internationally.

09

Children's privacy

The Site is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll take steps to delete it.

10

Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites, including client work, press coverage, or platforms like Instagram. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies before sharing information with them.

11

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and where changes are material, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know.
